Hello friends 👋🏻 another week has flown by, and here's the roundup of the great stuff from this past week:
Crypto Stuff 🚀
📈 The Markets
$BTC is up 0.8% in the last 7 days
$ETH is down 2% in the last 7 days
The deadlines for the Bitcoin ETFs are approaching, and the SEC has delayed another Bitcoin ETF filing, a month ahead of the deadline. This signals a potential approval of all BTC ETFs together in January, to ensure fair play. On the other hand the CME Bitcoin futures shows investors betting on a $40k BTC price in the short term. There’s a lot of optimism in the Markets about 2024 for sure! 🔥
🗞️ The News
🔥 There’s a new L2 in town! Blast!
The new L2 from the creator of NFT marketplace Blur, announced upcoming launch and airdrop based on a one-way bridge into an anon multisig as well as promises of boosted staking yield for locked ETH and stablecoins, leading to a split between critics (including a Paradigm partner) vs. yield seekers who have poured >$500M worth of tokens into the multisig in a few days.
🔥 Elon Musk boldly told advertisers to 'go f*** themselves' when questioned about companies leaving platform X. He also emphasised his contributions to the environment, claiming to have done more than anyone else in the world, without concern for appearances.
👀 Project I’m looking at
This week, I dived deeper into FHE and Zero-Knowledge (ZK) tech. Came across a cool project called Mind.Network, part of the Chainlink BUILD program:
Imagine being able to send a token to your friend cross-chains without anyone knowing: 1) what token 2) to whom the tx goes 3) from whom AND also encrypt a message proving something cryptographically (“e.g. you have enough balance of a token to buy something”) 🤯
It's a fresh take on a Zero Trust Layer with a decentralised data lake, implementing Advanced FHE in a scalable way. Plus, it’s got a bridge that wraps Chainlink’s CCIP with ZK to make it a zero trust bridge! 🤯. Sounds a bit tech-heavy, right? Well, here’s a down-to-earth tweet 🧵 that breaks it down, an interview with the team for more insights, and of course, the always helpful docs for the nitty-gritty.
🚨 Security Stuff
On-chain negotiations with KyberSwap hacker are getting heated! 🍿
🆒 Cool Stuff from the Week
🎧 Podcast episode I’m listening to:
I'm excited to share this with you, though it's a bit challenging since I'm such a huge podcast fan! This week, I tuned into an episode of The Collin and Samir Show featuring Tim Ferris as a guest. It's rare to catch Tim on podcasts, so discovering this episode was really special.
🎧 An eye opening conversation with podcast legend Tim Ferris. (Video link here)
📱 Cool app I’m using
A few months ago, I gave 🟠 Headspace another try, and I’ve been using it consistently for meditation! As part of my morning routine, I do a 10-15 minute meditation 🧘🏻♂️. Also, when I go for a quick walk during the day, I enjoy some walking meditation. I'd love to share a 30-Day Guest Pass for free with you for free if you want to try it!
🤔 Quote I’m pondering:
This week, I thought of sharing one of the best quotes from the late Charlie Munger in his honor:
📚 What am I reading:
Found this tweet about what Steve Jobs taught Jony Ive on maintaining focus.
Vitalik newest post about his views on the so called “Techo-optimism”
🫵🏻 One question for you:
Thanks for reading 🙏🏻. Don’t forget to leave any feedback if you have on the comment section!
See you next week!
